Did you treat the small green with cipro ? or just observe it for 2 weeks? did it ever deflate/inflate during the period ?

I treated it. Never deflated, but the mouth was open for a while. I then left it in a separate tank for observation for a while before moving it to the anemone tank.

Yeah this was originally an Atlantik V1, but I upgraded the diodes to a V4 this year. Honestly the shimmering rainbow effect of all the different colored LEDs in the V4 makes me miss the V1. Either way, I’ve had great success with Orphek and the growth under them has always been pleasing.

It was difficult, especially with the Indo ban, but I’ve heard of people getting their hands on some recently. I got my blue off of an in-store trade and the green came from Aquatic Collection.

Been a while since an update. Something is up in this tank, I think it’s just a Dino bloom or some kind of bacterial swing that’s been going on, but the tank in general is not very healthy at the moment. The mag tentacles have become shortened and crimped. The pedal disc of the mags have started to rupture and white filaments are coming out. This is definitely a sign of distress of some kind. I also noticed this morning one of my mags trying to climb out of the tank with a slime ring sloughing off. I see this with mags during cipro treatment. Since I have to go out of town for work soon, I don’t have the time to treat them, so I’m pulling an emergency out-of-this-tank-into-another. I’m going to acclimate them into my DT and hold them in a cage in there until their health rebounds and I can figure out what’s happening in this tank. The gigs seem fine on the other hand...

So funny story....

I went to LA this week for work and I have been looking for a purple gig to complete my color collection and had lined up a purple with a guy out there. The morning I was flying out, I decided to go to a LFS there and grab an Acro frag and saw a small dark blue gig that I couldn’t pass up! I thought to myself that you don’t come across that deep of blue very often, may as well add another!

Then when I went to pick up my purple gig from my contact, it turned out to be..... blue. “Alright, blue is my favorite color, I don’t mind having 3 blues! Maybe one day I can pass one on to another worthy hobbyist.”

Well I get home and pull the two gigs out of my bag and lay them next to each other, turns out the blue I bought on a whim was actually purple in white light!!! The irony is almost too much to bare, but I’m glad it worked out and I pulled the trigger on that impulse anemone.

Here it is 10 hours later in my hospital tank. It looked pretty unhappy and not sticky at all this morning, so I’m going ahead with cipro to be safe.
