I always tell everyone to dip no matter what because that’s what I do BUT we are pest free other than pods and brittle stars. A customer tried to accuse me of flat worms about 15 months ago…. Even though I knew he was lying I had to take the claim seriously so 2 weeks of work taking every single colony out and looking at it under a magnifying glass I found 0 bites 0 eggs 0 flat worms. Each colony got vigorously shaken in a bucket of water and not one bad thing came off any of them. It’s VERY easy to remain pest free if you do things correctly. Not many vendors are pest free! They may make the claim to keep your business but most don’t take the hours and hours to dip QT chop of bases all that good stuff. I put my corals through hell to make sure I don’t get any pests into the farm and ruin everything Iv worked so hard for. This is my full time job and I don’t play when it comes to money lol

So do you mean chop it off at the base, so that no part of the plug goes into the system, even if the coral has encrusted the entire frag plug?

NEW GAME
GO FISH

title gif.gif

Fishing isn't just for lakes, rivers, and the ocean anymore. Now it's for games too! I covered 16 images of corals with numbered tiles, and I will show you what's under one of them every few minutes. There are eight pairs of identical coral images. For each matching pair you guess, you get a point. Once all the pairs have been discovered, the person with the most points wins a $50 GIFT CARD!!!

Three incorrect guesses per person then you're out of the game. In the event of a tie, the person that scored first wins. Good luck!

Yeah, give me a minute to write that one up. I think I wrote a long article about it on my local forum MARSH, but it's been a while and I don't know where it's at. It would take me a good 30-60 minutes to properly explain it with sources to help understand the situation.

So what's the cliff notes version say? Am I better off with a AB+ schedule vs. a Radiant Color (all blues) on a Radion G6?

PAR alone is not an accurate way to understand lighting. Without knowing duration and PUR, PAR means next to nothing.

So that's what a Fox Flame is supposed to look like? Wow... that's stunning. So the trick must be low light.
Yeah this thread is the first I'm hearing of it too. I have a frag growing out on the rack now in intense light and it's coloration isn't deep. That's the universal "stop blasting me with lights" or "I need more nutrients" sign. I should have put two and two together already haha
