Hey guys
I set up a Fluval evo yesterday and drew lines to note evaporation in the tank. The Fluval evo comes with three chambers and then the main display tank.
Chamber 1 - I have put the heater here as I didn’t like it so close to the rubber return pump hose (yes I over think the heat of it)
Chamber 2 - stock filtration although I have ordered a middle media basket to change this and will use filter floss, carbon and the ceramic rings
Chamber 3 has the return flow
The main display volume hasn’t dropped but the volume in chamber 3 has dropped by around half a cm and I was wondering what water to top off with.
Usually in my tank, if the water level drops in the main display, I will top off with plan RO but in this case the main display has remained the same water level but the outflow section has dropped slightly. So do I use salt water or plain RO to top up the chambers?
Hope this makes some form of sense!
