I have a newer pair of flame tail anthias and one darts around the other as seen in the video. They don’t lock lips, and no aggression noted between them. Seems like the one turns very pale then darts around… usually after a feeding. Type of mating dance?

My dominant lyrtail does that to the submissive one. I don't know if its a 'mating dance', or a show of dominance, or what, but its never led to violence. To me it feels like something natural so I don't let it concern me.

That’s what I’m thinking. They both appear to still be females, one is starting to grow a streamer on the tail. No other aggression noted and set an auto feeder for multiple feeds a day so hopefully they do well!
