Fish for a 10gal long nem dominated

I bought a new tank today from a yard sale, owner filled it that morning, also looks newly siliconed(dried). my mom rlly rlly rlly wants a nem tank, so, yeah, ill wait around 6-12 months for a bta, but, what fish? Im thinking around 3-5, dragonet, goby and shrimp pair, 2 CLOWNS(will be the last fish added) what other options do i have? Six line is non doable right? Thinking of a good rock work with many holes for gobies and or blennies

Honestly I think 10g is too small for the livestock you are looking for…

I would vote no fish having watched all my "nano" fish in a 40gal and wishing they had more space. If temporary I would say standard clown until you go bigger.

I would make it a qt and wait for something else to come along. 2 clowns with a nem maybe but no other fish in a 10g with the clowns.

EDIT : I can only imagine how cool it would have been be able to do a tank with my Mom. May as well be patient and do it right.

Ive seen people do clowns and gobies in a fluval, which is the same size if u take out the back wall

You could get 2 baby clowns in a 10 gallon, but it is a really bad idea.

Fluval makes a bunch of different tank sizes. Are you talking about the 32 gal???

but why is it a bad idea though?
maybe just 1 clown? im thinking ocelarris, cuz of the small size, and since the goby/shrimp r bottom dwellers, wouldn't that impact the space much?

Clown fish are always a bad idea. They are or will become very aggressive.

Two clowns are pushing it in a 10 gallon. Clown gobies or neon cleaner gobies are a better choice but not with the nems to be honest. I would either say small fish or nems, not both in that size. A 20 gallon would be great for nems and two clowns

Just asking, why would I not be able to do both? My idea is 1 small BTa, wait for it to find the spot, after a couple of months, put in some coral, and that’s it, sell the rest of the split nems, just 1 nem, maybe some little rfa’s here and there, I’m just basing off of what I see in flival 13.5, the fish I mean

Ok, what if we remove nems? Could I do a clown(or 2 very small ones) with a goby and shrimp? And maybe another tiny little fishy?
I’m trying to incorporate a goby-shrimp pair into here cuz I love those, and clowns cuz my mom loves those too

In that small of a tank good chance your fish wont have anywhere to go with the nems and get stung. My cousin has a 150 gallon with all nems and they sting his fish all the time when they swim in rocks cause they are all over.

I just wouldn't have two grown clowns in a 10 gallon. Its very, very small. I saw your other post about the tank and sounds like you need to get a new tank anyway so might as well pickup a 20 gallon if this is what you want.

Agree. My full grown female would be miserable in that size tank

Those fish will have no room to maneuver.

Even if the animals were fine with the limited space of a ten gallon, you would never have enough surface area for the biological filter.

My fish store has the small EVO saltwater tank and they only have two blennies from a small species and a couple snails. One clown is too much for that tank. You put two in there and you will end up with one. There's no place for the submissive clown to flee to if the dominant clown feels like bullying.

UPDATE!!!! I am gonna be swapping the stand and tank(+10$) for the 20 and stand he is selling
