I personally have a clown fish pair and a sixline wrasse, both are doing great.
Mainly because they are some of the meanest and most territorial fish on the planet

Depends on the clown fish, also probably one goby. Because unless im completely mistaken two gobys in a smaller tank (unless they are bonded, also someone tell me if im wrong please) will tend to fight. This would not be true of a watchman goby and a clown goby. 2clowns and a goby and a blenny should be good, although it would be pushing it.

Saltwater Molly could help. Or just a variety of snails, urchins, and crabs.
My saltwater mollies dont touch any algae. Little fatties just hang out at the top of the tank and chase each other around and wait for food lol

Two gobies will fight over space in a small tank, especially if you don't have a lot of room for them to hide.
