Weekly wc is done. I placed my torches, frogspawn, and blasto in the tank from qt. All are doing well. UV is rocking! Glass needs cleaned much less frequently and the bit of dino on the rocks is gone. Still not sure how I got it in the first place. Nitrate is usually 11-12 and phosphate is usually 0.05-0.07. It has never bottomed out.

Placed all the corals except the torches. Love how clear the UV is keeping the water and how much it is helping reduce the amount of glass cleaning.

Figured I would do a quick update since its been awhile. Corals are growing and fish are happy. Not much else to say.

As promised most of my corals finished qt this week. Added some kind of pectinia (if you know the name let me know), small acan colony, jack o' latern lepto, metershower cyphastrea, blasto, gold hammer, long tentacle plate coral, a rainbow bowerbanki ( i think), and started my zoa garden. (left to right) sunny D's, scrambled eggs, rainbow incenerators, magicians, armor of god, nirvanas, AOLs, rastas, unknown, and vamps. Sticks seem to be doing well. Also have dropped the phosphate to 0.09 with increased GFO. Sorry about the photo bombing tangs.

I'm more of a fish person than coral. Your tank looks great, so many fish, love it!

Thank you. I'm adding a convict tang, blue throat flasher wrasse, and bluestar leopard wrasse in the near future along with my yellow tang which is still banished to the sump.

Happy memorial weekend! Bought some new corals off the cherry corals sale. Can't wait to show them in the next couple of weeks. Tank is rocking along. A couple of hammers have been struggling. They seem to be recovering.

Just finished maintenance. I gave the 6hr fauna marine stn rtn x dip (10ml per gallon) a shot last weekend on my purple hammer and duncan. Tissue seems to be growing back on the hammer. Nothing else new to report. Happy 4th of July!

Tank is looking great after doing a nice rinse of the sand bed. (Well other than the zoa colony I dipped in peroxide ;)) The 2hrs of work was worth it to nuke the cyano.

After a week of dosing isol8 MT I have noticed some more pink in my pc rainbow. My alk consumption also increased enough to bring my alk from 8.4 to 7.2 over the course of a week at my current dosing rate. I have increased my dose and have been and dosing a small amount each day to raise it slowly.

Finally have my alk stabilized again after a week of testing. I had an increase of 5ml per day (30% increase) after dosing isol8mt.

How long have you had the Naso? I have the same size tank and I haven't been able to keep one longer than 4 months. :angry-face:
A year and a half. I feed a quarter sheet of nori everyday and LRS or rods frozen herbivore blend. I also bought it pre quarentined from dr. fish.
