Anyone out there have experience with Fiji Cube aquariums? There are a lot of reviews of their sumps but not much on the tanks. I'n looking at a 142 ext. Any thoughts.

I just received the 32 gallon EXT complete setup. Appears excellent quality, the tank uses 10mm glass all around for a small tank. The stand is pre-assembled & plywood & the sump looks high quality. Even the ATO reservoir is low iron glass

I requested they call me & they did but I don't think they have a dedicated customer service phone line yet. Pretty small company i think out of Minnesota? But they always respond to emails quick, even on Saturdays.

I had high hopes for Fiji Cube. They are very responsive to emails. I even got a call within 5 minutes if of one trying to move delivery around due to travel. But, the 32EXT I received today doesn't match what I had hoped for or what others have gotten. Now I'm awaiting email response to my issues.

I just discovered this brand/line of tanks and have been emailing them. Seem responsive. Can you message me any details or info? I'm looking at the 32g ext. Its as close to I can get (20x20x16 or 24x24x16 preferred) at a decent price. I'd hope the quality is similar to the innovative Marine tanks I've seen at lfs. (Fiji's 32 is somewhat directly completing with innovative marine's lagoon 25 and 40 (the 24x20x16 seems to be the sweet spot imho. 16 inch height gives decent aquascaping vs 12" and the imho too tall 24x20x20 im40 gallon)

I just recently got the 81gal EXT package. 1 tank came in with a few scratches. Nothing BAD but still the point of $1800 and having s scratched tank.
They sent me a replacement. 2nd tank came in with busted pallet and the silicone looked bad.
Sending me a 3rd tank. But said this was it cause they will be out of stock on them.
Hope it comes in next week. And is better then the 1st 2. I have high hopes for this company and have read good reviews. (Even BRS Recently started carrying there smaller tanks.)
Communication has been excellent VIA facebook. Even got them to call me when the last tank tank came in with a busted pallet.

Heres a pic of the 1st tank with stand . I plan to use it if the 3rd is a bust .

Haven't used any of their tanks, but I have used their 10 Gallon AIO kit and 29 Gallon AIO kit, and I love both. Both came in perfectly fine without any issues and havw both been running for 5 and 3 months respectively.

Here is my 32 ext (bought the complete setup). Appears really high quality & I like the sump design. I had no issues in regards to packaging 9r damage & even got a cool Ups delivery driver lol. They did forget to include the 5 frag rack & 2 filter socks but were very apologetic & sent them out right away. They threw in some extra filter socks for their mistake. They do include some schedule 80 plumbing elbows, unions, gate valve. I had to order some additional parts from Brs & Home Depot but no regrets so far. Just have to figure out the plumbing now
And please forgive the room decor.. lol my roommate has unusual taste.

Does or has anyone had their Fiji cube ext actually setup and running?

My concern is with the overflow design. Is it like the synergy ghost overflow/eshopps eclipse where the rear box sits too low in reference to the internal box, causing a waterfall noise in the weir?

Or does it sit more level like the ems and modular marine overflows who's exterior boxes sit flush with the internal box, allowing for a higher water level in the interior box and thus reducing or eliminating the loud waterfall noise of water cascading down the weir?

I ask in earnest, only because I have a lead on a new in box im25 lagoon local to me tomorrow and need to make a decision. I prefer the dimensions of the Fiji 32 ext tank. Almost perfect (16" height is the sweet spot for me vs 12" on the im25 lagoon). The extra thick glass on the Fiji 32 is nice as well (it's also low iron glass on every panel vs just visible which doesn't add any real value imho but worth noting).

However the innovative marine's ext line has a nicely designed overflow with zero drop in height due to its built in instead of bolt on design. The bottom of the weir teeth are even with the stock secondary drain pipe (emergency pipe) and there is still a good amount of overflow box height above the emergency drain.)

Any thoughts?

He answered me via pm. Said the overflow in stock form with roughly 400gph had the waterfall effect and required the used of coarse foam to silence it.

I really want the 32g ext tank dimensions with a modular marine or ems overflow minimum, or the built in style of the innovative Marine ext line.

Fiji quoted me a price for an undrilled 32 and it's a bit more for no overflow, a 10+ week lead time and no included shipping.

I understand custom tanks cost more due to the manufacturer being tooled up for the stock size lines and obviously different sizes need different glass cuts and glass sizes. But it's the extra shipping costs and the fact I'm simply asking for an undrilled version of a production tank that fiji that's costs more with less work in theory, along with others similar to them, continue to leave me looking.

How they are pricing semi custom work (essentially a mod to one of their production tanks) I am essentially paying prices for anano tank for the same cost of an traditional manufacturers much larger tanks in 4 and 6 foot lengths would cost a hobbyist, which is hard to swallow.

Sorry to derail and it's not necessarily a slight against Fiji. But they offer a custom options tab on their site but then the reality of their quote basically forces the average hobbyist into a stock tank. If the free shipping was still included then it would be a valid option since I'm sure the custom tanks are coming over on the same container ship as their normal stock shipments.

Again I'm not trying to derail, but im still sad deep blue aquariums were dropped as they carried some unique cube sizes that just aren't offered by others. They weren't the best quality but we're at a good price point that was a valid trade-off if you were on a budget and had a unique space for a nano.

I don't know why another manufacturer hasn't picked up the desire for a 20x20x16 and 24x24x16 tank sizes. Waterbox now has their 55 frag set-up but it's an internal overflow and a $1500 price tag since they don't sell tanks separately.

Can check with SCA aquariums . They are reasonable on custom tanks and can drill for overflow of your choice. But be prepared for a long wait..
They were my first choose actually but decided to go with FIJI instead

I've had them quote me before. Much more than their stock size tanks as well. And much more than Fiji.

In a 20x20x16/24x24x14 I was quote by sca close to $700 with shipping. Again, maybe my expectations are out of line with reality. I personally find that a bit much for a non drilled, low iron glass on three sides 28-40g tank which is considered small-nano.

I'd be willing to bet tanks around this size are their best money makers in terms of sale price vs cost to make. You can get substantially larger tanks for not much more and smaller nano tanks are very competitive in that sub 20g size as they all tend to all be around a certain price.

once again, this isn't a gripe about fiji, sca others pricing per say. All businesses must operate and charge enough to make a reasonable profit. It just feels like the industry has much higher margins in these tank size ranges (30-60gallons) and that none of the current manufacturers are really producing the size I need at the moment.

i appreciate the input and again, sorry to derail. Mods can edit or delete these if needed.

Duh.....Fiji cube has a line of clear silicone rimless tanks. Just saw that option. Bingo.

Their 60m is pretty close to perfect for my needs. It's 24x20x14" high and reasonably priced.

Now I'm just trying to decide between the 32g aio and that.
