Ive helped run succesful forum communities in the past. Im not sure what your approach is to all of this but if your trying to get more members and more hits I really think you should get away from the RC style format on your board. You guys have basically the same order of forums with some others not included. Id start by changing the name of the "Lounge" maybe just name it offtopic or somthing.
