Ok so I figured out feed mode. My feed mode turns off stuff such as 4 tunze powerheads for 5 min. I used program logic #2 to set filter 1 and delayed on 130s. Set my outlet of skimmer on filter.

It worked. Now to have my skimmer delayed on 120 after maintenance? No idea. Maintenance settings doesnt have a filter off button. So how do I program let's say program logic #1 for maintenance and have my skimmer outlet delay 120 seconds just like my feed mode. Tired of overflowing my dam skimmer.

Here's how I have delays set for equipment, including maintenance modes. It may help with what you are looking to do.

Ugh confusing. What does the inverted check mark do. It's in program.logic settings and also inverted button in switch outlet for skimmer setting..

When maintenance mode is turned off it gives a logic 0. A logic 1 is needed to turn the skimmer back on. The PL needs to be inverted to do this.

Prologic1 - maintenance 1 delayed on 300s

Prologic2 - filter 1 delayed on 300s

Prologic3 - logic1 [inverted] AND logic2 [inverted]

And set my skimmer outlet to program logic 3 and for maintenance or feed mode or will turn off as soon as pressed and have a delay on?

Yes, it should. Test to verify it works as expected.

Good Evening :)

I have done this setup a few times :)

Program Logic #1
Maintenance 1 [Inverted]
Delayed On and your time Interval 300 Seconds

Program Logic #2
Filter 1
Delayed on and your time interval 300 Seconds

Program Logic #3
Program Logic 1
And
Program Logic 2

Assign Program Logic #3 to your outlet

If you need screen shots please let me know, I can post them also.

On the GHL support forum this was posted to help me with a similar thing. I used it to shut off my ATO (Tunze brand) and duplicated the time for my Skimmer to come on later.

Credit to Vinny At GHL for this.

CREATE THE 1ST PL FUNCTION: Maintenance mode delay
1. Go to the PROGRAMMABLE LOGIC settings page.
2. Select an unused Gate and set the function to DELAYED ON.
3. Set the Input to FILTER (select filter number) and specify how long to delay the reaction. In this case, it would be 120 seconds.
4. Type-in a description and click OK.

CREATE THE 2nd PL FUNCTION: Combine first PL with another function
1. Select another unused Gate and set this function to AND.
2. Set Input 1 to FILTER and select the Feed pause number to use for this function.
3. Set Input 2 to PROGRAMMABLE LOGIC and select the PL Gate number you used when you created the 1st PL function (Maintenance delay).
*** For example, if you created the PL function on Gate 1, select PROGRAMMABLE LOGIC 1.
4. Type-in a description and click OK.

ASSIGN THE 2nd PL FUNCTION TO A POWERBAR OUTLET
1. Go to the SWITCH CHANNELS AND OUTLETS settings page and select the Powerbar outlet that has the ATO connected to it.
2. Set this function to PROGRAMMABLE LOGIC and select the Gate number you used when you created the 2nd PL function.
3. Type-in a description and click OK.
4. Click SAVE CHANGES.

How do I apply maintenance 1 mode to maintenance 2,3,4 ?
Same for the feed pause 1, how do I apply it to feed pause 2,3,4 ?

@Makki_73 Are you saying how would apply all the maintenance modes to the Logic above and all the Feed Pauses to the logic above?

Yes you would need to keep stacking the program logic.

So instead In Your program logic 3 you would remove the filter 1 and say and replace it with program logic 4 and then in

program logic 4 you would maintenance 2 and program logic 5

and then in

program logic 5 would be maintenance 3 and program logic 6

and then in

program logic 6 would be maintenance 4 and program logic 7.

And then in

program logic 7 would be filter 1 and program logic 8

and then in

program logic 8 would be filter 2 and program logic 9

and then in

program logic 9 would be filter 3 and program logic an 10

And then in

program logic 10 would be filter 4 and delayed on 300

I need to test To be 100% sure I am currently away from my test P4 right this second to test if they need to be inverted or not when doing the logic, I believe no.

Another way to work around this.
Use one of the Maintenance modes just for the skimmer off. In my case Maint 3 is a 2hr skimmer shut off on my system. So if I am feeding or something else and I want just the skimmer off I tap it in conjunction with a feed button or timed maintenance.

Hi @Ditto . It will be great if you can put some screenshots. I want to do something very similar and I have many doubts about how to stack the different PLs.

Also, can you explain why in the first PL, the maintenance 1 should be inverted? I use the PL sequence you says and I see it works perfectly but I don't understand why it should be inverted.

Thanks in advance

In case anyone is having a problem simply having the skimmer delay coming on after either a Feed Pause OR a Maintenance mode, I did it in the following way. (I want a 10 sec skimmer delay after Maintenance-1 and after Feed Pause-2):

To DELAY after a Feed Pause:
--G-1 = DELAY ON -- Filter-2 with 10 sec delay.
(Note: In case anyone gets confused with the term "Filter-1,2,3, or 4"....think of it as meaning "Feed Pause 1,2,3 or 4".) In my case, I used Feed Pause-2.

To DELAY after a Maintenance mode (e.g. Maint-1)…...
I followed the example on page 110 of the GHL Resource Guide:
--G-2 = DELAY OFF -- Maintenance-1
--G-3 = AND -- Filter 2 AND G-2 (Inverted)

Then you combine the two:
--G-4 = G-1 AND G-3 .... and assign G-4 to the skimmer socket on the power bar.

Hope this helps!

Can you screen shot both the program logic and the outlet your assigning it to for your skimmer.

I am not having any issues.
