We will be discussing these Important SMMAS Announcements at the upcoming meeting:
SMMAS is making some changes to the way we do business.
We are moving our Reef Discussion Forum to Reef2Reef at the following link: https://www.reef2reef.com/forums/southern-maryland-marine-aquarium-society.490/ Please click the link to go to the Reef2Reef Local Club Forum and select the “Watch” box on the Reef2Reef SMMAS Forum page in order to get notifications for club events and discussions.
The SMMAS Facebook page, https://www.facebook.com/groups/373597292669876, will also be used for club events and discussions.
The SMMAS Facebook page is being opened up for buying and selling equipment and gear. Facebook rules for buying and selling must be followed. If you would like to join the SMMAS Facebook page, request membership through Facebook link provided. In the Facebook Membership Questions, please state you want to join the SMMAS Facebook Group to get Meeting and Event Notifications.
Because the www.smmas.org/forum site that is hosted with VBulletin is no longer being used, it will be taken down at the end of July 2022 when the contract of over.
Without the expense of maintaining this site, the club is suspending paid membership dues for 2022.

We will also be planning the next field trip to the Baltimore Aquarium.
