anyone an idea?
Checked my calcium level this morning after dosing for the first time yesterday and calcium did not change and I wouldn't expect it to since calcium carbonate does not dissolve in water. I believe acids and very low ph water which is acidic will cause it to dissolve which will also dissolve all your hard corals since the skeletons are calcium carbonate.

yes, I did.. it was kind of exactly 2hrs..
its already clear again tough and looks crystal clear…
Mine cleared up completely in about an hour which really surprised considering how cloudy it was after dosing. Did you notice a difference after it cleared up compared to how the tank looked prior to dosing?

Yeah it took maybe 1hrs to clear.

Dosed at 845 this morning now 615 fish look like they’re floating besides my micro bubbles. This pic with no filters on iPhone. Definitely a huge difference after just one dose.

As some have stated, depending on where you started with the clarity and what filtration you are using, there will be a wide range of results.

In my setups, the water is as clear as it gets. It will not get any clearer but I continue dosing once per week to maintain the clarity, nutritive acids, keep the film off the water surface and help occupy the sand and rock with bacteria to avoid cyano.

I am pretty sure someone is working to steal this idea and turn it into a gold mine. Give it a different label , slap on a bigger price tag, cha ching to the bank. lol

Just ordered the calicum carbonate on amazon. I'll give it a whirl lol

I guess I dont fully understand how this works...so it is helping the bacteria bind to the rock?

Or is it that it pulls nutrients and waste out of the water as its floating around?

Did mine..cleared in about an hour bit I run carbon so it was already pretty clear. Doing this for a bit of cyano. The water is definately crystal clear. No ill effect on any corals..sps, lps, softies. Ph dropped half a point but maybe just because my return was off for 30 minutes..already back up. Will dose again tomorrow!
Edit: water was much cloudier at first, first 2 pics were about 20 minutes in

Hi! The solution will leave a fine layer across the glass, rocks and sand. By dosing it with bacteria we allow for said bacteria to colonize surfaces, eating up real estate that may otherwise be occupied by cyano.

Conversely, you could mix in some amino acids with the coral snow and use it to feed corals directly.
