Time to try to fix these leaky pumps!

Luckily, a friend had a 3-D printer to try out this solution…. They have a slight rough spot so I plan on gently filing that till smooth.
*fingers crossed*

Cool tank Prod. Im following along. I love how the rocks come out of the water. Any issues with fish suicide with no lid?
Thanks!!! We have had a bit of trouble, more so with our last scape that didn’t offer many hiding places and less so with the current scape which is a series of tunnels/arches and hiding spots on the interior of the rock structure. That said, we did have 3 casualties since setting this scape up; we had a rabbit fish who was too big for how shallow the tank is, it would often thrash about when startled and we think one of its episodes caused a leopard wrasse and a long nosed hawk fish to jump :(. The rabbit eventual also suicided before we could give it to a friend with a more suitable tank. Since then, we’ve had no jumping issues.

I am really diggin on the tidal pool idea. That is something I can say probably never would have occured to me, but now I want one! I love the Island rising out of your water. I think what you have done is amazing, and in a couple years when all them corals grow out into the spaces between them.........yeah!

Couple of full tank photos under whites whit the new additions all placed.

We still have a bit more algae than we’d like so we just placed an order for some snails, including bumble bees since we’ve noticed vermetid :/

We just started dosing Microbacter 7 and clean since we want to increase our feeding but don’t want nutrients to get out of control.

We also started autodosing KZ trace about a week ago. Broadcast feeding will start being autodosed next week in addition to 1-3 x weekly targeted feedings…. I need everything I can get automated… its

Parameters:
Alk: 9.09dkh
pH: 8.1
Calc: 450
Mg: 1520 (a little high but not an issue, we’re letting it drop slowly)
Nitrate: 1-2
Phosphate: 0.1
Salinity: 1.025
Amazing looking tank!!

Thanks!!! It’s been a really fun experiment… we’re already planning out the next upgrade (lol) planning on taking the idea further.

Quality engineering

All of that bc this pump isn’t accessible without a complete dismantling

While I’m away babuh will play. He’s working on getting the flow through the loop a bit more disbursed… he sent me these three pics to illustrate how removing a couple links of locline will improve flow. I absolutely love the idea and hopefully it will give us way more room to get some acros going!

current flow:

How we expect to it disburse from the ransom flow generator after shortening it:

I love that we’re both always thinking of ways to make the tank better :)
