I’ve noticed that BRS is discontinuing and out of stock on a lot of products. Both external and internal brands. There hasn’t been an official statement on what is going on. Is there anything that you can tell us?

While we can't share specifics, we can assure you that these changes to our product catalog are nothing to worry about. Let's just say our facility can only hold so many items, there are many new and exciting things happening in the hobby, and people are reefing differently than they used to in the past. We are making changes to adapt to all that is happening to ensure our customers can still get the things they need and want for their reefs.

There have been many comments from Randy, Terrance and other vendors.

GHL has stopped doing business with BRS.

CoralVue cut off all ties after BRS broke MAP pricing to sell out of all CV products quickly. Extremely unethical behavior from a vendor.

Randy has made comments referencing it is all about the money at BRS now. Even Ryan one of the founders has left.

This is a company that was purchased at the height of the Covid reefing boom and the market has crashed and the investment to isn't paying off. They tried to take full ownership of the reefing community by purchasing all the major US players they could and feels like that gamble has not paid off.

Who do you know now at BRS? Who do you respect now at BRS? At conferences they do bother to show up to they sales reps no less about the products than the customers.

I won't use BRS any longer. I still use Neptune because my entire system is run through them.

I’m also done with B#S

Im just getting started with reefing and bought my first item from them for roughly $500. It arrived swiftly but I had a couple questions after setup.

Reached out twice and never heard back

Don’t have a- “support@brs” if your not going to answer…

Just get rid of the email and state you respond to “calls only”

I realize $500 is a drop in the bucket in this hobby…
but I still expected some support (or response of any kind) for two lousy questions!!

They have always answered the phone whenever I called.

Ryan left BRs?
Don't be surprised if you see Ryan working at some petco cleaning tanks one day ..or doing "tank maintenance" at all odd hrs of the night .. Living in an old Van down by the river..lol I've seen it happen to many people over the yrs in this aquarium business.. Today's superstars ..are tomorrow's SCRUBS.....
I know one personally who used to be a company rep for PE...now he's doing the above ..with barely 2 nickels to rub together... It's sad...this is NO place to make a "career" ..

Wow really amazing. I’ve stopped using brs where I can a while back. Sad to see it continue to slip.
