Dipping it helps yes and acts as almost like a bandaid. but there is something going on you shouldnt need too dip a coral often. @MERKEY @Lost in the Sauce are awesome for torch advice i would still wonder what caused the issue in the first placeProblem solved, just dip the coral for 10 minutes and recovered already thanks
What causes this to happen and what exactly is happening is it bruised? Or damaged? Think I’m having a similar thing happen and wasn’t sure why?Something is definitely causing the torch to do this.
Did you notice any tenticles floating in the tank?
Sometimes my tangs nip at tenticles and tips and rip them off.
I've also sucked up tenticles with a siphon tube and it has caused this.
I'm glad it recovered and let us know if you see it again.
Yes I see sometimes tenticles floating, just don’t know what fish is niping the torch, maybe the foxface? All other fishes should be reef safe, tangs in geral, I have dijardini, truncatus, hepatus, powder blue, purple tangSomething is definitely causing the torch to do this.
