Euphyllia slowly dying (?).

I got it 8 days ago, at first it okey, then after about 2 days it looked super great. Then 2 days ago I dosed iodine because my icp test showed 0.0. I should never have done that because now my euphyllia looked bad the very next day, and now today it looks even worse. All my other corals (including another euphyllia torch) is looking better after the dose

From the pic, I really don't see an issue. Maybe give it some time to settle in. Should be ok. Only comment I have is that hopefully you dipped it for pests when you got it.

From the other thread it looks like it's been receding. And that first post I see a bright white skeleton where all the flesh has been receding.

Did you dip this when you bought it? Checked for flatworms or any pests that are eating away at it?

IMO euphyllia are not easy corals like softies and other lps. I assume your tank is new? I would just wait to get another one in 3-6months down the road. I tried 3-4 hammers and just recently got one to stay alive.

Where did you get it from?

Look for maricultured euphyllia and do not order them from a site that you don't know where it came from. This is a good instance when buying local pays off. Buy from a reputable dealer.

my tank is about 9 months Old, i already have another torch which is looking good. I Got it from fauna Marin coral store.

What was your dip process?

Like i said they are not easy corals. Ive had 3 torches die but the two i have are doing great.

Maybe try an iodine dip.

But it could be a shock from light. The tank it was in a Fuana could have had more or less par than u

I would leave it. Doesnt look terrible to me.Euphelia do some weird things. Let it just rest and see what happens

I reccomend dipping with revive to get rid of potential pests and then with iodine. You can do at same time. Thatbis what i do. If there are flat worms you need a strong dose of revive to dislodge them.

They don't look horrible.
Need some white light pics tho. It's hard to tell in the heavy blue lighting. The blue hides a lot.

How much iodine did you dose? A water change would have probably been enough.

I may have found the issue, my salinity Hanna tester said my water was at 1.0235, apparently my return pump had been pumping more water than had gone back in my sump, so my auto top off had filled a lot of freshwater into circulation. I did a 15% water change with salinity at 1.027. Never had this happen before

If that's true, check the drains. You may be in for a flood.
