Hi everyone
I've bought an euphyllia about 2-3 weeks ago in that time line it was looking pretty good BUT
Last day I've done a waterchange (usual 10%) after that I measured a phosphate of 0.2-0.18 (+dosed 2,5 ml of nopox that day) the week before that one it was only 0.05-0.02
Also I'm not sure but the flow may not be the best had to move it 1x / week in it's current position, where was looking the best so far.
The question what causes this kind of closing up. And I need help resolving this. +everything looks nice other than this coral
current parameters:
Sal.: 1.025-1.026
PO4: 0.2
NO3: 40-30

Light setting: Maxspect ethereal
cool white: ~80%
blue: 90%
green: 30%
red: 30%
warm white: 30%
+ infos
-I did have 2 zoa polyps pop
-I did move my ricordea out of it's hospital container and is relatively close to the euphyllia
-I had to remove a calcinus elegans, since they harassed my zoas

Pictures:
-flow off (notice the white thing at it's mouth, maybe coral slime from stress ?)

Hey ! So It's definetely not ok tonight I was curious to see my tank in the night and I've seen some gruesome stripping
so I tested quickly for PO4 and it is in the skyes 0.4. I have no idea what to do and so I need assistance next day I'm going to go to my lfs to test for Ca and Mg . Also I have no idea whether or not is my placement good or the chemistry but probably the last one. The thing is that it is definetely deteriorating in my experience (since I'm pretty sure that this is a newly lost area). I did not move it, it's in the same place for now over 2-3 weeks (the same place where I took the last one). If needed I could dip it in iodine. (medical grade)

photo is somewhat blurry and cant tell if recession or bailout. In addition to testing CA and ALK, have them check Mag also.
Are you able to get in close with magnifier and see if any little bugs or nudibranchs around the base?

Parameters:
PO4 measured 2-3 days ago, 0,4
NO3 in the range of 50-70
Salinity: between 1.024 and 1.025
Temperature: 25-24,4C (75,9-77 F)

i'll get the rest today about 2-3hrs later

PAR is unknown but it should be 100-150 in that zone according to the light settings
Fish:
-Scopas tang (zebrasoma scopas)
-picturesque dragonet (synchiropus pictoratus)
-blue damselfish (chrysiptera hemicyanea)
-lyretail anthias (pseudanthias squampinnis)
-purple fire goby (nemateleotris decora)

Inverts:
mushroom corals (3x)
tree corals (they are quite large) -> running activated carbon
Acanthastrea Lordhowensis
some zoas
nothing else (my cuc consists of copepods, a trochus snail and bristle worms under the rocks, + immeasurable amounts of limpets)

pictures: (the recession cannot be seen during the day)

I've never ever seen pests not on this coral nor on any other

NO3 is pretty high. Do you do water changes?
PO4 is good. Better there than 0.4, I like to be in the 0.1 +/- 0.03 range.
You think PAR is where you say, even so far down under the water?

None of the fish stand out as pickers.
So what about alk, cal and mag? You are having lfs test these? I hadn't seen any numbers in this thread. I went back as far as the start of page 3.

Yes I do water changes 10% weekly, but NO3 I stubborn for me and po4 is 0.4 It probably decreased over the days, I used LaCl for that. And gonna text back about those 3 elements in about 2 hrs (I had other things to do)

Sorry, misread the 0.4
When you get the readings, post. Looking forward to seeing them.

They all shrivel under darkness.
Perhaps it is on a road to recovery?
Don't move it anymore.

Ca: 460
KH: 8,6

Numbers for me would be considered perfect. Maintain these and see how things play out over next 48-72 hrs

Question: If it is bail out what can I do ? According to tidal gardens it happens due to temperature swings and salinity spikes.
daily temp change: 1C ~ 33,8F
and the salinity is always between 1,024-1,025
Would these mean a threat ?
