Ok, water was drained, final rock was removed, and gravel is mostly gone. I'll be getting the rest hopefully tomorrow afternoon.

Cool things found in the old tank - Striped Rafael and Sailfin Pleco skeletons. The spikes of the Pleco are crazy!

Old tank is moved, only found one jumper??? 6 years in one spot with no lid, a tank full of Rainbowfish and Tetras and only one jumper seems pretty decent.

We're heading out (am I ever even home???) in a little bit so I'll sweep and mop the spot tomorrow morning and then the stand will be built shortly thereafter (assuming I don't have to drive to Cave Creek to pick up some doors for my mother-in-law).

Can’t wait for detailed build pics of the cabinet and tank… drooling…
Hoping the cabinet is in tomorrow morning and then I'll start figuring out the plumbing! I'm hoping to have it wet by tomorrow. My wife would prefer I fill it halfway and leave it for a few days. She's heard too many horror stories from Red Sea tanks.

Cool! Are there little supports/feet under the stand to help level the stand in case the floor is not even?

Alright. I'm going to get this started!

I won the ESHOPPS Mariner 70 giveaway so I'm setting up the build thread. Pictures will be coming as I set it up!

Equipment List:
Obviously, ESHOPPS Mariner 70
ESHOPPS RS-100 sump
ESHOPPS S-120 Protein Skimmer and
ESHOPPS Lift Skimmer Stand
Rio+ 2100 Return Pump
2 Noopsyche K7 V3 140watt
Maybe 1 Noopsyche K7 V3 75watt
Inkbird 300 watt Inkpet aquarium heater
Inkbird ITC-306T Heater Controller
Jebao DC4 Dosing Pump
Avast Marine Plank auto feeder

Aquascape:
I'm going to go for a natural-ish aquascape with shelves. Many of the rocks are Aragocrete shelves that I made myself. Pic to come once tank is set up!

Blank slate!

It's got a different footprint which is cool! Very similar to my old 75 - 36" x 21" x 21".
Is the cabinet marine ply or mdf?

There are supports, yes, but they're just those feet with nails/pins and don't seem to be adjustable. There is, however, a foam leveling mat attached to the top of the stand that will help some.

I'm not sure. All of the edges are covered with edging tape except for the base. The base appears to be solid wood and not plywood but I would imagine that the rest is MDF based on the smoothness and lack of noticeable edges inside the cam holes. I should have gotten pictures of that

I should state, I didn't try adjusting them as my stand sits pretty level and has no noticeable rocking even without the tank sitting on it yet.

Waiting for my wife to build up the energy to help me drag the tank inside (well, I need her help so I don't have to drag it I suppose...

IMG_20240120_171841648.jpg

Went ahead and hung the R2R light.

Hopefully the wire won't be super noticable once the tank is in place. It sits about 2" above the lights so the controller will be behind the tank.
