Hello,

Today I was very shocked when I saw tiny little seahorse babies clutching onto the cord to my UV light. My seahorse pair in this tank are erectus that are only 3 inches long. I’ve bred dwarf seahorses for ages but never have any of my large pairs of seahorses reproduced, and especially at not such a small size. Is this normal? I thought seahorses had to be their adult size to reproduce? Will the babies be healthy? I am very confused! But happy to say the least. I have fish so most seem to have been gulped up but I have a few in a 3 gallon with an air stone. I have rotifiers to feed them but I can’t tell by their movement if they’re eating they are so tiny.

This pair of seahorses are from Alyssa’s seahorses and are very healthy and nice.

also edit to say that I am not sure how the babies are doing after looking. I have great success with dwarf seahorses breeding and have had the same colony for 5+ years but I know they are a lot easier to raise and breed
