I absolutely focus on the epic aquascape first… then the corals - not all of my corals are “epic”, I like mixed reefs with a variety of sizes, shapes and movement . I’ve done plenty of systems over the years without planning and they don’t come out near as nice as the ones that I take my time with and plan. 100!

I feel like I have all sorts of amazing plans in my head of what things will look like so I put together my aquascape with that in mind and then I start buying coral and run out of space way too quickly no matter how big the system. So I am doomed to start another tank. Oh! The horror!

I might need to turn into a nano tank person and just have a full shelf of them with different corals… ok, that’s actually a good idea. Don’t tell my husband.
