Never used one. Always had a buddy watch my tank while I’m away. He’s experienced in saltwater tanks so that is reassuring while I’m gone

I tried automatic feeders once but my nitrates and phosphates went through the roof. I've heard that dry food has a lot more gunk in it than frozen food, so maybe that was it. All I know is that the change was not worth the convenience.

What's your best DIY project?
A couple years ago the kids and I built a laundry pedestal for my wife. The kids helped with drilling, installing hardware, and painting. Came out pretty good for our first larger woodworking project.
The "real fun" was trying to get the washer up onto it (laundry room is pretty small). Imagine playing Jenga and slowly lifting the washer level by level (so we'd have room to just grab and slide it onto the pedestal -- no room to bend down and lift it).

I don’t have any pics… unfortunately lost those in Harvey. My best DIY had to have been a complete whole house flooring remodel… house had almost every type of flooring from previous owners you could think of… vinyl laminate, tile, carpet, hardwood, BRICK?! All was torn out, resurfaced, and replaced with tiger wood flooring throughout
