Hey guys, I need help ASAP!!!! My sea hare got caught in the filter, so I just turned off the filter so it could get out….then it started squirting purple ink. I yanked the filter out of the tank, and pulled the sea hare out. I put the sea hare in the bin I use for a hospital tank, and I sprinkled carbon at the bottom….the sea hare is still alive and is moving a little bit….how can I help the sea hare? Please reply asap!!!

Can you see any mechanical damage on the hare?
Clean water (and more of it) as you indicated, is a better way to remove the ink, as I've never heard if carbon can remove that or not, but we know water changes will.

The "ink" is likely a defense mechanism for when it feels it's in danger. Getting stuck and feeling like it's getting eaten (possibly) was likely enough. It doesn't look like it's loosing anything (internals) so I'd say it's fine.

As for the "ink" in the tank, the only thing I can think would be a large water change.

I'm just throwing my two cents in, though, so I may be wrong.

Hare does not look bad but hard to tell outcome moving forward. The inking which rarely occurs is a defense mechanism and stress sign. Carbon will help but chemiPure blue I can say is high grade, will reduce toxins if any and polish the water
