Hello fellow reefers, I am having a big issue with dictyota taking over my rocks. I had a sea hare that I believed was keeping it under control but they seem to have a tendency to get stuck in my fans over and over. Is there anything out there that eats this stuff? I only have a 65 gallon so I’m limited on size options.
On the other hand I am moving soon and will be taking my tank apart to move it. Should I be thinking about removing all coral from the rocks and scrubbing them with hydrogen peroxide. My worry with that though is it will kill all the good bacteria.

dictyota is sometimes pretty unpalatable. You might find it hard to get any natural control for it.

Update: I have decided to try and use some Fluconazole as I heard it might be able to tackle this algae. Sure enough it’s been 6 days and the algae is slowly dissolving.
My plan is to do a water change 3 weeks after the first application.
I also have some bubble algae and am hoping it can get rid of that to but so far it has had zero affect on it.
