Thanks alot, im currently binge reading your threads on eels. Now ive got a question. Would a mostly dead + some live diet be fine for the ribbon and zebra? THinking about feeding 4 mollies per 2 weeks

No I don't. I'm not home rn so yea
Do you know when you’ll be able to get a photo of the tank?

Aquascape really matters with eels, they like to hide in crevices in the rocks and also your other fish you want are going to want a lot of hiding spots to disperse aggression and hide from predators.

OH WAIT, I dont have rock in my system as of now. Stuff ships late down here. bought around 40kg as of now and will add more. Dont plan on adding eels until 6 months down so I have a decent amount of time. Will be adding an entire pvc pipe system under sand, some openings with rocks glued on them.

using 3/4" pvc btw
just wanted to say… These eels you want get wider than just 3/4”. I’ve seen mature Zebras that are Atleast 4 inches in diameter if not fatter.

What is your definite plan for the tank?
Corals? Rockscape? Fish stock (outside of eels as well)?

No corals, an open yet cave-full tank. fish stock
Boxfish
foxface
chelmon rostratum
pyramid butterfly trio (Heniochus diphreutes)
leopard toby
pygoplites diacanthus
zebra eel
blue ribbon eel (reportedly never eats fish unless hungry and not fed)
Harlequin tuskfish (im willing to lose a few inverts)
red coris wrasse
2 convict tangs
6 lyretail or sunset anthias (2 males, 4 female.)
