BTW it isnt even reefAlso, since you seem to want an aggressive reef tank, if you’re already willing to sacrifice any shrimp and snails and crabs, you might as well look at squirrel fish and goatfish. Both very cool
Those extra inches will make a huge difference. I say move the couches!
I would get rid of the pipefish, too many big and fast fish. My cousin had a pipe fish in his tank with big fish like this and he starved and died because it was too scared to come out and he kept getting pushed around by fish zipping around. Filefish is the same, my dude just floats with his head down and is very very slow. Also would have issues getting food with all the other big dudes. Midas blenny is amazing. I lost mine recently and l miss him. Brings a lot of life to the tank. Damsels may attack butterfly fish, seen lots of people who had a damsel kill butterfly fish… never had either but just what lve seen. Probably stick with smaller tangs, maybe 2? I had a half black mimic tang and he was awesome at eating algae. Dwarf angels are good at that too and they dont get huge like the other angels, which might be better with how narrow the tank is. Just my two sense!Setting up a new fowlr tank. Need stocking suggestions. I have tried manhy places - my build thread, the deciding fish thread, lots of places, yet I still do not have any idea what to do. Its 6foot x 14 inch x 18 inch, really wonky (which might be the reason why its hard to decipher), will run on a skimmer, aio and maybe a UV sterilizer. This is a wishlist, and strike off stuff i won't be able to keep, suggest alternatives and exact number of fish [HASH=1]#reefsquad[/HASH]

Also UV sterilizers kill pods that mandarins eat. From what l hear biota has mandarins that are tank raised and eat prepared foods.Setting up a new fowlr tank. Need stocking suggestions. I say you won't be disappointed with the Boxfish but i would definitely get an Ostracion meleagris (blue male if possible) they come bigger than the yellow ones for one thing and I've had success in the past with them taking to Masstick easily. ALSO look up Bennetti butterfly...they don't get very big but are beautiful!BTW it isnt even reef

I really recommend you rethink a tilefish. These guys are a nightmare to settle and not have stress out, rarely do they make it past 6 months - generally due to jumping. And even then, they don’t do too well in most tanks. Yes the Hoplolatilus luteus is easier to keep but they’re still a specialised fish. Im not saying you can’t keep one I’m just saying wait until you have the experience with wrasses and other torpedo shaped fish like the Hoplolatilus species.BTW it isnt even reef

I knwoBut if you get a Boxfish make sure there are no bullies. Btw, they also have a ton of personality. Here's the species I'm talking about:

Ok ill reconsider. Boxfish is a must tho,I really recommend you rethink a tilefish. Secondly, forget the Red Head ‘Solon’ Wrasse (Cirrhilabrus aquamarinus) these are nasty and even in a 6’ tank they will more often than not just turn against everything with a similar body shape that is also timid.
I will also say:
Avoid any boxfish. Especially the Cubicus. This will get to 1’ quite easily and will outgrow a 6’ tank, ideally you need an 8’ tank for this species. The Meleagris is a nightmare to establish into captivity and like any other boxfish they will pose a threat to all inhabitants with their toxins if they die of too much stress (especially the other fish).
I agree! If i had a tank I'd definitely get a male Ostracion meleagris blue Boxfish like in the picture i sent you! The smaller they are, ime the harder to get eating.I knwo

Based on the research I have done with eels, l would say only one eel, a snowflake. Ive seen videos, blogs, and articles about how hard a blue ribbon is to keep in a aquarium. Most people who tried seem to have lost the ribbon (due to its finicky eating) and being intimidated by the snowflake. Ive seen snowflakes eat and they are very out there and can chomp the blue ribbon when getting food. No experience with eels myself but l was seriously considering an eel in my tank and did a bunch of research! Based on this I would say just get a single snowflake.can you just check my last list- its updated sooo. Tank is 6foot by 2foot by 18 inches now

You may be able to find a female...they're cool too...black with white spotsThey are difficult to find
I knowYou may be able to find a female...they're cool too...black with white spots
Still, the answer to a Naso is no. We’ve told you not to have Naso species or the Sailfins because they’re just too big for this tank size and grow fast when they don’t get stunted.I know
Any opinions on naso tangs?

I still disagree with the boxfish idea, in a tank like your wanting they risk stressing out and I’ve found if they die of stress they can nuke a tank but if they die of just old age or something that doesn’t stress them, they don’t risk nuking a tank as much.
