hey btw, how many times a day do you feed your horses and how?
I’ve been feeding them 2x/day. Still dialing in how much, but baby brine shrimp. I have two hatcheries (alternate them). Once the shrimp hatch, they get put in a cup with a mix of my 6 live phytoplankton mix. When ready to feed those, I put them through a 120 micron strainer and rinse them a little with tap water. Then rinse again with ro/di, then rinse them out of the sieve into ro/di (this is part of my top off) and dump them in.

Update:….. a lot do my algae from the first shipment all died, pretty sure from all the stress of a 5 day shipping in the cold, so they are going to resend me the entire shipment.

I also had another seahorse die… this one got through 2” of filter floss, 2 inches of rough sponge, a bag of matrix, and worked its way directly into the pump and died. So down to one until I get the other shipment on Tuesday.

I would be a liar if I didn’t say I was incredibly frustrated and disheartened.

So thanks to that one that somehow made it to the pump, revamped the overflow with some screen and zip ties.
