Dual Becket Venturi Skimmer - MTC HSA-2000

For sale is an MTC HSA-2000 skimmer. This was designed and built by Marine Technical Concepts, which sadly, I think is no longer in business. I used this on a frag system and it worked phenomenally. I am selling because I have moved and am no longer in the hobby. The skimmer could use a cleaning, but is otherwise in perfect working order.

Comes WITH the Jebao DCP-20,000 pump I used with the skimmer. The pump has about three months run time on it.

Dual becket venturi system. Rated for up to 2,000 gallon system. Sold for over $2,000 new (without a pump). The first two pics are from when I first purchased it. the second two, are of it running. The pic of the skimmer is as it currently sits (dirty). The last two pics are of the pump. I am located in Cincinnati and would prefer to not ship (this thing is HUGE - 4 feet tall). I can meetup within a reasonable driving distance... That being said, if you are willing to help mitigate shipping, I might be open to the idea.

Do you remember when you bought this? I'm toying with making an offer to have as a backup to my 20 year old HSA-1000. Of course, I would pay shipping, but the system could be broken down into two smaller boxes easily. I take my 1000 completely apart every year for an acid wash cleaning.

I bought it used about a year and a half ago and ran it on my frag tank for about four months before I moved and tore down the system. I do not know how long the previous owner had it.

Hey can you get an exact height for me? I am near Akron I could come pick it up not to far a drive. 4hrs or so but if it will fit I may be down

It is 48" tall.

Are you wondering if it will fit in the car? If so, no worries, since it will break down into separate pieces.

Regarding installation height, if you look at the pic with it running/sitting on a stand, notice the outlet on the left with the gate valve --> This needs to be at a greater height than the sump. This is so it can gravity return to your system. So, you will need at least 48" over that level to make it work.

This thing is a MONSTER!!!

Yeah I had one a while ago and I had it going up over my sump on the return. It worked fine but when pumps were off it would not totally drain out. I need to see if I can put it where it needs to go. I miss my Beckett...
