Hey everyone! So I am in the process of setting up my first ever dosing pump. It is a Jecod DP-2 . I currently use Two Little Fishes C-balance. I have been manually dosing for a while now, and per instructions I take the needed amount and dilute it in RO water then dump in tank. So my question is should I dilute what goes in the dosing container? Of I set the pump up to dispense much smaller amounts thru out the day rather than all at once. But it seems to me that if diluted in the container that would mean getting less of an actual amount in the tank. I just want to get this right. Thanks to anyone who is able to help me with this as I can not find much info about it online.

Spread your doses over 24 hours and you’ll be fine, small changes is a winning combo

Just do the same thing you do manually and spread it out over the day with your pump. So dilute it the same ratio as you would normally, and dose the same volume. You just have to scale up the volume so you don’t have to refill the reservoir every day. For example, if you normally make a diluted solution with 1 mL C-balance in 9 mL of water (10 mL total volume) and dump that all in the tank, you could make up the same solution in a 1000 mL volume by mixing 100 mL of C-balance in 900 mL water (1000 mL total volume), and put that in your reservoir. Then you still just dose 10 mL of that solution per day like you always did, but you can spread it out over the day.
