I've read countless threads on the dosage and maybe I'm just dumb but I don't understand them.
The pill I have contains 12.5 mg of Milbemycin Oxime and I want to treat a 40 gallon tank.
The common dosage I see is 23 mg/400 gallons, so 0.058 mg per gallon. Times by 40 that's 2.3 mg of MO that I need to dose. My pill contains 12.5 mg and the pill itself weighs 63 mg, so I think that means I need to dose around a 5th of a pill (12.5/5 = 2.5 mg) i.e. 12.6 mg of the crushed up pill.
But some threads seem to treat the pill itself as weighing 23 mg and basing the dosing on that value, but that can't be right.
Any help here would be great!
