I love DIY. Saves lots of money. I created my dosing containers from some old Cambro containers we had laying around from a restaurant we used to own. Already had the fittings and float switches. Had to buy the lids. Total cost, $14. And they are the perfect size to make-up 1 gallon BRS batches.

I use 500 ml & 250ml Erlenmeyer flasks in my 130 gal system. My only recommendation is to use containers large enough to hold just 2 weeks of core elements (Mg, Ca, Alk) Never use dosers to add trace elements or carbon sources, I learned this the hard way. Human mistakes crash tanks overnight. If you already have large containers, do not fill them to the rim. Never leave alone a doser during priming !!!!
