Does a UV sterilizer help break down/remove coral toxins? Particularly zoa or paly toxin.
Long story short, my corals have been looking upset these past few months after some new frags of assorted zoas and softies were added, and water parameters are always testing stable and in acceptable ranges, so I'm wondering if some coral is releasing toxins that is affecting the others. I'd like to buy a UV sterilizer like the light I attached to this post. I have a Fluval Evo 13.5, so the bulb would be in the back chambers away from fish and coral.
I know UV will help kill bacteria and algaes, but can mess with phytoplankton food chains, yet what about coral toxins? Would this be worth the purchase?
