Hey Reefers!
Are you like me and can’t help but keep adding tanks? Well consider this your support group and let’s talk about it! I’m Matt, and I suffer from Multiple Tank Syndrome. I currently have five tanks, and am planning a sixth. I like having wet hands and an empty wallet. Nice to meet you!

I am not prepared to admit to any addiction to aquariums. I only have 5 plus 2 backup tanks that are empty with enough equipment to run them all. I think that is the perfect amount. Am I in denial?

I've got my main DT, and a growout/frag tank for my babies. No interest in adding more right now, would need to run new circuits to handle the load.

I have mts. However what I have found to help is having a mother. It has limited me to 2 tanks. That includes not being allowed ro have a qt tank. I am currently considering turning my sump into a 3rd secret tank. However I have a empty wallet do to project truck and fish.

Hi Matt! You're in a safe space here!
I also have 5 reef tanks running with a 6th (holding tank only) sitting on my night stand.
That makes 2 tanks in my bedroom, 1 in my office, 1 in the living room/kitchen area, and 2 down in my family room.
Every floor of my house glows blue when the sun goes down.

lol, love this thread! Although I haven't hit rock bottom, I do have a problem and its MTS. I don't have the space yet to put in what I wanted so had to go small. That, and I really enjoy the process of building a system. Add in a touch of ADD and impatience so I naturally started 3 tanks within weeks of one another. I've also learned that I need to avoid FB marketplace lol.

I'm in recovery here. At its peak I had 2 saltwater and 6? fw.

Now I'm down to one sw and one fw. with a few empty for QT or tank break emergencies. I want to tie a nem tank into my display, so I don't have to worry about chemistry in a 10g, but I suck at drilling glass and broke two tanks, so that is out.
