One-of-a-kind, rare, fire, and all the other adjectives may build marketing hype but really get old after awhile. Let's face it, if a coral were truly rare would we expect to find it in the hobby market? I for one would hope not! I'm pretty much just as guilty as everyone else about clicking on a link with a catchy description but am frequently disappointed in what I uncover. Not a dang thing I'm going to do about it but just thought I'd vent. BTW there are perhaps a dozen or so corals I believe are worthy of the hype after all my years of collecting. Sometimes I miss the simplicity of the old days when corals weren't named after Superheroes or cartoon characters...

I feel all the hype is our fault. Cause a vendor will post a coral we start to go crazy pming the vendor going crazy over the post then bam here come the crazy price for a one inch frag.

My problem is that new reefers get caught up in this web and spend $$ they could be using for better, or more, equipment and livestock. JM .02 worth!
