So I finally remembered the name of that mesh fabric. I believe it's called tulle or something similar to that

Looks good! And good call on tree netting

I like the DIY corner inserts! Looks much. Water have the mesh below the top of the glass

Does anyone know if the net and frame can be put in the tank as a divider? I have Dendros and was wanting to section them off so I could add more fish to my setup but don't want anything stealing food or picking at them.

I would assume the mesh is fine but not sure if I would want the aluminum submerged. Maybe make a frame out of clear acrylic then screech/glue the mesh around it?

You can submerge the netting, but it will catch junk in your water and you'll need to clean it a lot.

I would agree that it may be a lot of work. The larger the holes the less it will trap

If you search for or ask for "flange" corners you should find them

Gotta say thanks for the idea, my friend and I both made tops with the tulle and it looks great, almost invisible. Only con is its delicate, I put a couple small holes in it not being careful.

Also gave my wife a laugh pronouncing it "toolay" apparently it's pronounced "tool"
