I attached a ring right to the mesh so no suction cups or magnet needed. Just a cheap foam ring and tied it on with some fishing line.

Thr froz food would spoil(?)
Ok. None of the options are for auto feeding frozen food while away. They do make that but I believe it’s around $800+

The “hopper” on the plank holds and dispenses dry food, and can be used home or away. It dispenses into a feeding tube, which has a Sicce micro powerhead inside / this is called the mixing chamber. This stirs the dry food with water and releases into the tank when it no longer floats. Preventing dry food from being sucked into the overflow or filtration. At the bottom of the chamber is an adjustable output to control how fast food is dispenses.

I could have been more clear, I apologize. What I meant was if you feed frozen, the device could benefit you while your not away, because you can simply drop cubes of frozen food directly into the mixing chamber and walk away, and the Sicce pump will mix in tank temp sw, and thaw the cube for you and then auto dispense into the tank, saving you time every single time you want to feed frozen food

I use a simple rotating drum type feeder from Eheim with Benepets pellets right on top of the screen. The pellets are small enough that they just fall right through the holes in the mesh top.

You will need a cutout. It can be reinforced with plastic hinge material for aquarium glass tops or a mini frame made of plexi

This sounds like an amazing set up. I'll have to look more at it later. I dont mind autmation, and saving time overall.

Two Little Fishies makes a magnetic one that I love. I think they also have just the feeding ring style, but also magnetic. Edit: just realized this was the Eshopps version, but I have the Two Little Fishies one that is essentially the same. Not sure the price difference.

Innovative Marine makes a magnetic feeder ring as well

I use the Two Little Fishies magnetic feeding ring and modified a cheap cell phone holder to mount the feeder so that the top does not need cutouts to mount it. Pellets drop right through the mesh into the ring.

Hard to see with the blue lights at the moment, but you get the idea.

I know this isn't what you asked but I just installed one a cutouts in my red sea lid kit and it was easy. That could be another option.
