Did a ton today:

-electrical wiring for wall sockets by sink work station and back porch lights
-hot and cold water to the future sink site
-pegboard and shelves on wall over the sink work station
-took temp lights down
-skinned framing above the rim of the tank and on the sides
-built wall on left up top and skinned that one
-prepped sink drain and new RODI

Yesterday, I emptied one of my skimmers then took the rest of the day off.

You both work too hard! Come and learn how Aussies avoid it better! ;)

I was at one of my LFS this weekend and they had removed an adult Fowleri Tang out of a customer’s 1200 gallon tank. It was about 2’ long and fattest tang I’ve ever seen.

I was like “holy cow” who could possible house this tang?!?! And then I thought of you! A tank big enough for a full grown Fowleri! Although it looks like you already have one. :).

It’s in a 300 gallon tank and can barely turn around. Made me nervous as I have one as well but he’s only about 3.5-4”.

They also had a 14” Golden Back trigger and some other big fish. Nice to see them this big but I am beginning to question the recommended minimum tank sizes!

Keep up the exciting updates!

I’ll try to get a pic. They get cool and unusual fish. I have a 2’+ massive Leucistic Zebra Eel on hold. He’s going in a tank with my Dragon Eel, NOT in the DT. The Dragon already ate my 6” Rainbow Basslet!

I have put a lot of smaller fish in my tank. Decided against any large ones right now as I want to grow them out. My largest fish are an 8” male Crosshatch, 7” Black Tang, 7” Wrought Iron and a 7.5” Emporer Angel (who hasn’t gone in yet).

They had a number of 10”+ Angels but I decided to collect smaller one. They also had a 12”+ Broomtail Wrasse I had on hold but it started attacking other fish.

I love the Maze and Blue Phantoms Poma is breeding. I bought one of each 3-5”. They had a 10” Personifer but I decided to buy one at 2.5”. I love all the smaller fish with only a few larger ones. Of course that will change in the months and years to come! But currently my fish only average about 4”.

I’ll get some pics of the fish he pulled out of the 1200 gallon. They are too expensive IMHO as he had them on consignment. But he will have to lower the prices as he can’t keep these too long in his tanks. But these fish are fat and calm. He’s grown them all up in captivity. I’m trying to buy his 6” Goldenheart Trigger for the eel tank.

Your current collection of fish is off the charts cool!! I like to grow them out too!! Seem to do better and grow to a comfortable size in their environment… love to see him though!! :p

I used to manage a team of folks in Sydney. Coming into the final couple weeks of each quarter, they would have nothing in the books and I would get the usual "No worries mate!" response.

And like clockwork they would finish with a small beat on the numbers. Every quarter for almost a decade.

Sorry for the poor images. I will be at the store this weekend and can take better pictures myself. It is a Palani Tang. The Goldenheart in the first picture is pretty big. Maybe 8". That's the one I am trying to buy. - Steve

You need to purchase a small mule to haul all those bags.

I’ll take 30 bags please - let’s gooooo!!
When you purchase that much, won't they just have the pallet delivered directly to your driveway? Even if you're buying from a local shop, I would think it would be easier for them to never have to move that much product themselves.

How are you going to get the koi out?
Going to drain it, move them all out then refill with RODI water… pain but that’s the plan

They may do that but I only grabbed just over half pallet. Next time I’ll push for more service on the bags. Got them all next to the 600 in the garage…
