What an amazing build my friend! Can't wait to see it in person.

For the panel bowing issue or even future potential issues, have you considered titanium concrete anchor bolts holding some sort of clamping piece in a few areas around the perimeter? Just a thought off the top of my head. Could also help hold things from separating during any large water changes.

Sorry to hear about that panel. 2” is pretty think but keep in mind that acrylic absorbs a small amount of water and does swell causing bending. It would further bend in the direction that it already is.

That being said, I’m on the camp that the added silicone may just act more as a gasket with that much pressure being put on it. If it does leak you could just run the water level an inch below that seam and tell people it was designed that way. ;)

Amazing progress, rock work looks spectacular! What are you gonna do for flow? I was thinking two Abyzz AFC150 for my build. Have you looked into the AFC line?
I am thinking Abyzz internals for the closed loop, 4 Sea Swirls returns and some big cannon power heads strategically placed for flow then adjust as needed. ;)

That's a good thought T! I will look at some options!

Hehehehe, that's exactly what I was planning on for water height!! LOL

We will see how it holds. I was encouraged to hear that Andrew had to fix a few leaks on his 17k gallon monster at two different times before it was good to go. Just reminded me that with these big custom tanks there will be some adjustments and leak fixes along the way.

We press onward!! :p

Love the scape, but I have a impression that there is not enough caves for fish to hide or create territories
The center of the rock work is accessible by the fish. It is hollow inside the crates so there is a ton of space for them to have hideouts. I also created two specific fish caves and will do some more once the overflow is in. The crates are off the wall 8" so the access to behind and around the rock work on the wall side is easy for fish to hide/hang out in.

Good thought...

About a foot of water in there so far. Added a mag 24 and a heater for good measure! :)

When I lived in the Bay Area there were guys that would go a few miles out off the coast and pump a few thousand gallons into a reservoir on the boat and then transfer it to their truck and then fill up tanks in the area. I think there was like a 250 gallon minimum. I doubt there is anything like that in UT. Although the salinity content of the great salt lake can be more than 35ppt and then could be diluted with rodi.
