Cleaned out the 150 bin today, removed some of the rock to free up more space for the angels to swim! 150 gallon water change!

I saw you mention silicone for sealing the viewing pane in there. Ive read in several places that silicon doesn’t bond to acrylic, are you talking about a silicone gasket of some sort? If so do you have a flange of some sort to hold the viewing pane into the relief slot? Not trying to poke holes in you strategy just trying to learn.
Sorry for the recent losses and also This monstrosity is awe inspiring!!

Thanks for the question! I’ll be using a silicone adhesive made to stick to acrylic and it will also be forming a gasket, basically using the same stuff Bill Wann made his 20k gallon tank out of… yes the acrylic panel has a tray it sits in

Your older tank from back in the day with 10+ MP40s was an inspiration to me! with those 2 large blonde naso tangs - thats you right? :) Great to see your doing big things!
Thanks for checking this build out!! I’ve had lots of tanks over the years!! Ive had lots of MP40’s 60’s and tons of nasos! I had a pretty detailed build thread on RC back in the day for the 750gal… maybe that’s the one you remember thanks for chiming in

I’m 6’1”... that should give you a reference for the size of the tank! That’s my brother and longest running fish buddy who’s helping me with the madness!! ;)
just now following this build. Are you two really 6'1" or are you really midgets? There is no way you're building a tank this big in your house!!
