Looking great, it'll be interesting to see if the UV has a noticeable effect when viewing the tank!

Have you been running the lights at 100% (yellow and blues) in the videos you've been posting? Or is it a reduced version of lighting until you get across in the tank?

Just the new moons (actinic blue):

Just the UV’s (cosmic eerie green color):

_______________

The new video my buddy put together for me I had on just the XHO’s and 4 of the white cannons on full power. (I’m not using the dimmer for any lights right now)

The blue XHO’s come on first around noon then the 5 whites follow a few hours later followed by the other 4 whites a few hours after that. I then have the 5 whites turn off then a few hours later the 4 whites turn off then a few hours later the XHO’s turn off leaving the moons on till midnight and one moon light on (old school stunner strip) till 1:00am.

That looks awesome! I really like how the moon lights look on it, I bet it's even cooler in person.

O wow, so you haven't run all the cannons at once yet?

Ooo this might be my misunderstanding (or misremembering haha), i thought you had the XHO LED strips and a few of the cannons were also blue.
I left space in between the white cannons for 4 blue cannons down the road… so just a ton of XHO Reefbrite blues and 9 white cannons (plus the new UV and moonlights)

It’s time to take out the “black widow” bubble tip anemone’shey are stinging and killing everything they touch.

That first picture was a plate sized pink chalice killed down to just some life around the edge.

The second picture is where that anemone just set up shop between all those hammers and it stinging them all up…

I’ll look to dive the tank today and start moving stuff around.

Yea I was thinking once they start splitting again they will overrun everything.

What about a nice Magnifica perched on an outcrop?

I need to get in there and move all the LPS to the reef walls and leave the top of the reef stack for the nems. Then I will remove the rocks they are on and make room for SPS.

That would look amazing if I could ever find one!! I would look to build it an island all for itself.

Looking good!
That’s going to be a mint in Gfo to drop those phosphates. Lanthanum instead?
True, just dropped a ton of bucks on GFO.

I do have lanthanum which I have used in the past but worry a bit about potential residue on the viewing panels which some of my fish buddies think was the cause of their scaling on their glass. I may try a little and see how it goes...

Took out the Nems, lightning maroon and picked up all the corals that have fallen or been knocked off the top reef stack.

Also took out most of the rock I put on the floor and moved it back to the 500 gallon sump to clear up the floor & for better flow!
