Danny or Lindsey...needs some expert advice on a used unit. How do i clear out all of the old inputs, outputs, etc from the previous owner. when i go into the individual tabs i dont see where to delete a module. i tried the factory reset, but not sure that works as when i click OK after the warning nothing happens.

Something is wrong then. 1.01 is not good numbers. Have you tired powering it down and back on? Use just the power pack with no modules hooked to the Archon unit.

all i have done so far is with no modules. have powered on/off several times, held the reset button down a few times. tried the factory reset a couple times. i see there are a set of files in a dropbox earlier in the thread. is it as simple as copying those to the usb drive and restarting?

They may or may not work. The files have to match what software is installed on your system. Did you back up the memory stick to a folder on your computer before you did the factory reset? Also do a check on the memory stick when it is connected to the computer.

i have a spare usb drive that i can load these files to to try. the folder structure appears slightly different. the db and logs folder is in the www folder on the usb that came with the unit instead of all 3 folders on the same level in the dropbox set of files

If you have a copy in a folder on your computer of tye files on the memory stick look in the www folder for a file revisions.xml or revisionsNew.xml. If you have the later file open it with notepad or wordpad. This has the revisions numbers that should be installed on your system.

copying the dropbox files didnt work. i get the login page but when i enter the credentials they are not accepted, just brings up the login again

1.09.58 is an older version. That probably won't work with the newer files. Just placing the files on the USB will not install the dacx software. I will see if I have a copy of that version so,e where. If I do it will be on one of my older computers.

I don't know how, but there probably is. Did you try the default login DigitalAquatics and password?

yes. i am able to get in using the original usb, but i cant get rid of the prev owners inputs etc. the new usb with the dropbox files does not work even using the default or guest login.

Try entering GetVersions() in the command line on the system page. Then click send. Then refresh the webpage and see if you get the versions on the system page.

Do you see any of the Archon ports? if so will it let you program one of the outputs?

what does my result mean then? on the input tab i see iTemp, 2 pH, 4 SW. but, i have nothing plugged in right now. if i click on the gear for the temp or pH i can rename it or have a calibrate button that does nothing if pushed.

That is normal for what it should show. Try and see if itemp works. Also try a pc4 for an output.
