Pulled the @SantaMonica GEM5 lights out of my ATS. Think I’m going to silicone to this acrylic and use on the refugium. They will go into the bottom of the sump. If I need light on top I have the kessil h80!

Time to watch the clock tick and plan out tank chores for the weekend!

I’m still battling diatoms in the sand, blow the sand clean a day or 2 later it’s brown again. Glass has to be cleaned every other day or so. Could be the new rocks or could be the filters in my RODI. Which aren’t that old nor have they been ran that much. I’ve been changing 8ish gallons per week, I figure the display has 40+- gallons in the display and 8 gallons in the sump.

I did order some microbacter7 to assist in the adjustment of the tank.

If you have some Phosgaurd or GFO I beleive you could use a little of that to pull out excess silicate.

I don't have any GFO... boooo! haha I tried looking for some cheato and it appears to be out everywhere. Except for here floridapets.com

DD has been listing chaeto lately with their inverts. Or they have the last couple times I checked at 6pm.

Awesome, I will have to check them out and see if I can snag some from them. May order a small amount of GFO and try it out.

Isnt the 10g Brute great? Wish I bought white but the standard grey came with a cover so I went that route.

Even the 10g is to heavy to lift without sloshing it everywhere though.

Love the brute! I thought about another one for old water but that would make it a pain to dump. Someone mentioned the wheels for the brute, truth be told I’d have to pick up up twice to get to the tank. By the time I load it on the wheels unload, load it unload it and load it again I could carry it to the tank and back! Haha so I just muscle it around! Always afraid a handle is going to snap and then I’ll have a big problem!

I skipped the wheels too. Wasn't sure how they'd roll on carpet. The Python atached to the sink is my drain so Im only lifting an empty Brute!

I’m bad about judging how much water to pull out VS the amount I am adding. So some of the old water goes back into the tank once everything is fired up. I need that second chance! Hahaha
