Just shopping for new camera, is this a good deal?

Canon - EOS Digital Rebel XS 10.1-Megapixel Digital SLR Camera $599
Canon - 100mm f/2.8 Macro Lens $599

The guys at Bestbuy is willing to give me 10% discount on total purchase.

That particular Ebay seller does have a pretty good reseller rating. Here's a link.

However, I don't know what to say about the "2" lenses. Looks like you get the Tamron 28-80, which isn't bad...but not great. You also get a "wide angle lens" which is just an attachment, and not really of much use to you. I'd avoid these types of packages. You'll get things you really don't need, or if you need them, you can buy pretty cheap. They put together these packages and offer a great deal because much of the package is somewhat worthless...lol. See if this same seller sells just the body and a single "kit" lens. That'll give you a better idea of the true value of this sale. I'd hold off until you find a deal that actually contains lens or lenses that are more useful, or just purchase a body.
