Hi, we recently got couple of zoas from Aquashella. It’s was great and happy, then all of a sudden it did not open again. It’s been about a little over a week. We dipped all (separately) in reef dip just incase. But still nothing, all the other ones seem to be fine. Zoa has been moved from previous place but still nothing

first picture is when we got it
second & third is currently (adjusted light for less than a minute to take a picture) in person you are still able to see some color but vaguely

light always stays on dark blue for 8-12 hours
Water tested & everything was great

I would dip in iodine and then move them to another spot after dipping. Definitely worth trying to save. If there is still a sign of the polyp, they can bounce back.

I've had zoas completely melt (or so I thought) and then come back a month later and grow like nothing ever happened. I never throw zoa frag plugs out for this very reason. Maybe move them to a lower light area and just ride it out for a while.

How often can it be dipped? Just did it last night. Today looks better than yesterday “in my opinion)

If you dipped already, leave it be for a bit and let it (try to) recover. I think a lot of times people try to do too much and make things worse.
