The generic / off brand dc return pumps are just as reliable or more then the name brand ones

I used to use mag drives and the lifespan on one was 2 years and the next one was just under 3 years. Instead of spending $200+ On another I bought a jebao dc3000 for $80 as my third return pump. It lasted 3.5 years. Next I bought a off brand Amazon one for $73 in June 2017. It’s been running 24x7 since the day I installed it and still runs my reef today. I’ve cleaned it twice in that 7 years. It’s a beast and has 100 individual levels of speed control. I will never spend more than 100$ on a return pump again.

I was using the mighty jet xl that came with my innovative marine tank. I liked it so much that I bought another on clearance. Hygger makes the same exact pump for $100.

I ran a current usa 1900 gph on my 120 and wilk use on mt 180g. I have used the 800gph green vivosun in mixing bin for 4 years basically none stop. Vivosun makes bigger pumps but not much controllabiltty. Think most run by sliding cover over intake area. If i had to restart i would honestly probably do a jabeao dc pump. If money wasnt an option sicce would peobably be my pick.

I know and agree with the way things are marketed. That is why I am asking on this site, I can get real opinions from people that are using the equipment everyday.
I thank you for your input.

As they've failed over the years I have replaced all my return pumps (including 2 MightyJets) with Jebaos. I have some that are 5+ years old and still kicking. Also have a few of the brand new ones (wifi and bluetooth with app control) chugging right along. I'll probably never buy another non-Jebao DC return pump as long as they're available.
