Just wondering if this safe to use for kalkwasser? The product is hydrated lime but the main ingredient is calcium magnesium tetrahydroxide. The only other ingredient on the SDS is a small amount of quartz. The information can be found in the link. Any guidance would greatly be appreciated.

One cannot tell the purity from that info. It may be OK, but I'll note they also list the basic material as calcium magnesium hydroxide on the SPS. That is not, by itself, necessarily a problem, but there may be a large fraction of it that does not dissolve as kalkwasser.

That’s all I needed to know. Thanks Randy! I’ll continue the hunt for bulk kalkwasser in Canada. If you have any suggestion as to what to look for, I’d be happy to hear them!

Mrs wages pickling lime, or any food grade product.
