Hi everyone,
The time has come for a frag tank! My tank is about a year old now, but I've started actually putting corals into it and tracking parameters. I want to grow things out in my display tank, so a frag tank makes sense to have on the side to split some of my favorites and grow them out to trade or sell. I had originally planned on doing a 50g low boy, and even bought one! But then I found someone selling a 90g 6x2x1 tank locally, which is a half-height 180g. That sounds much more fun. I'm going to pick the tank up tomorrow. Also planning on adding a 40g breeder display refugium. I am planning on doing a custom stand with aluminum extrusion. Kind of 3 parts to the stand... the 90g up top, the refugium in the middle and to the left, a cabinet area to the right. Basically planning on equipment going there, probably a calcium reactor if I get to fill this thing up. . Otherwise both tanks will be plumbed back to my display system for one big system for now. I may split them up later, but not to begin with.
Here is a wonderfully terrible drawing of what I have in my head for this project:
More updates tomorrow after I pickup the tank, hopefully!
