Can you come over and teach my CBB to nosh on aiptasia? He’s picking at rocks and the sand so he’s eating buuut…
Hmm my oldest CBB keeps the display cleared. I moved mine a while back and within a week the tank I pulled her from had aiptasia start poking out of the overflow so I tossed one of my peppermint shrimp in and haven't seen it again. I have a new CBB in observation being trained to eat what I feed. He has already cleared the aiptasia off the rock I put in with it. You need to have a talk with yours lol

I totally get what you are saying/concerned about. I'm new to reefing but I've had freshwater tanks since I was a kid and that's where I first learned about pests and I'm still fighting off snails in 2 tanks. I don't think you should have to put up with aiptasia. Due diligence and tank inspections and moving quick if you seen one. I had one pop up in a weird, hard to reach part of my rockscape and I grabbed some Fluval frag putty and slapped it over that area - bye bye creepy aiptasia. I've never had another one in that tank.

My little reef tanks are my escape and they are my perfect little worlds. I created them and I'm going to do my best to keep them as nice as I want them and as healthy for my inhabitants as I can. I can TRY right?
