Leather corals can change shape from day to day depending on flow, light and other general goings on in the tank. ......it’s what they do.
Looking on trusty google it appears to be more a devils leather finger. But definitely opens right up when lights are on.. not a fan of the moonlight.Leather corals can change shape from day to day depending on flow, light and other general goings on in the tank. ......it’s what they do.
My leathers only stay open in white lighting. I guess it’s just how they are. Devils hands are one of the more finicky leathers, so it may be a while before it is consistently opened and colorful. It took months before mine even began to show polyps.Looking on trusty google it appears to be more a devils leather finger. They require decent water flow. They will skin over and mope if not happyLooks like my devil's hand leather. Very moody, but really cool when it's open.
Yeah it's been in the tank for a few years now. I do blow off the dead tissue from time to time at night, but I haven't been doing it lately. I think it's a little irritated by some clove polyps that have grown up far enough to tickle it.They require decent water flow. They will skin over and mope if not happy
I blow mine off occasionally with turkey baster and they respond well
Its almost placed in line off the return water flow. They require decent water flow. They will skin over and mope if not happy

Wonder what it could be hrmmmm??Definitely not a devils hand then. Something in the lobophytum category, but the fingers branch too much to be a devils hand IMO
