I think they must like iron. My Gonis were doing good in my 75 around 4 years ago, then that tank started getting overrun with hair algae to the point I was losing the battle. Gonis were flourishing while everything else was dying. Removed the rusty magnet and the hair algae went away. Gonis haven't seemed to be as happy ever since. I think SBB says manganese and iodine are other minerals that really make Gonis go crazy with growth.I always struggle to make gonis happy
I usually dose manganese separately, then just keep up with trace a and k from Tropic MarinI think they must like iron.
