It's there, it just has a thin black outline so I don't waste your printer ink. I guess I could give it a white background instead of transparent. Try this one instead. There's no actual file attached
Great job! Do you have a hanging pendant over the tank? Obviously doesn't look like you have anything physically mounted to the tank. Here's my first version out of some scrap black. Matte black isn't terrible, but I think fluorescent orange is a better choice. I cut some little support pieces to try and prevent the eventual bending, but I don't know how much good they are going to do.
My AI Sol is hanging above, but I built a cabinet/shelf wall unit in my office and the light is just hanging from the bottom of the cabinets above. Alas, the acrylic started to bow within a few hours. I ended up printing a support with my 3D printer and glueing it to the acrylic. We'll see if that helps.Great job! Looking forward to see what you do for the main tank!
keep us posted! Did you cut 1/8" acrylic or 1/4".My AI Sol is hanging above, but I built a cabinet/shelf wall unit in my office and the light is just hanging from the bottom of the cabinets above. I used 1/8". I have some 1/2" and I think that stuff weighs more than I do.keep us posted! Did you cut 1/8" acrylic or 1/4".
Honestly not sure if you'd need to go up to 1/2" acrylic to keep it from bending. Or see what those big lid makers are using...as it might be a different type of material. The last lid I had on my BioCube made by OctoAquatics never warped at all.
Thanks! Never took par readings on the tank, so no clue what it's reading, but everything is happy, and SPS colors are looking good for me (doesn't always translate the best in my pictures as I don't have any filters for my camera).Looks like some great growth in a short amount of time. Keep it up.
can’t remember if you took a par reading? That might be helpful to know for some of your sps to color up.
Some great growth on your coral! So here are some pictures of coral growth over the past year.

ORDER: 2 - slower grower, but still one of my favorites. You can tell the ridges are getting more pronounced, and it's grown more eyes!
ORDER: 2 - finally healed, and starting to fill out (there's a baby head starting to show on the back end of this one
ORDER: 2 - I never realized how much this one has grown! It's also definitely doing better since I dialed back the intensity of the XR15 to 75%!
ORDER: 2 - another fast grower. Hoping the toxic green color comes back now that the light intensity has dropped a bit
ORDER: 2 - SUPER SLOW GROWER! But it is encrusting it's base!
ORDER: 2 - look how thick this guy has gotten!
ORDER: 3 - Fox Flame one of my all time favorites. Coloring up nicely, and an encrusting chapion!
ORDER: 3 - Has colored up nicely, growing and encrusting well too!
As always, thanks for looking!
Well done! Nice growth you’ve gotten started and I’ll always feel like it’s a bit more challenging to get corals growing in a nano versus a larger system! Keep up the good work!
Thank you! Some great growth on your coral!
